What You'll Do

The Production Supervisor at Revel Dance Convention is responsible for working closely with the Production Manager in all technical and production aspects of the convention to ensure events run efficiently and professionally. The Production Supervisor works closely with the Production Manager on coordinating and pre-planning the production elements of the tour, scheduling and technical prep, as well as executing production and technical elements onsite including stage setups, sound and lighting design, audiovisual requirements, technical support and more. This role works closely with the Production Manager, Event Managers and VP of Operations to  uphold the convention’s standards of excellence and provide an engaging experience for participants. Strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning

• Support with scheduling of weekly itinerary for Production Team
• Negotiating and scheduling Labor and forklift rentals
• Working with the Production Manager to plan Mainstage room layouts and CAD drawings
• Coordinating and Planning with the venue and Identifying key metrics ahead of each event (eg ceiling height in main stage room and lobby areas, truck parking, loading dock, etc.) to address/resolve problems prior to arrival
• Other administrative responsibilities as assigned
• Coordinate with Same Day receiving of backup Video files weekly from events

Onsite Production Management

• Maintaining all Production Technicians/Team up to par at each event
• Leading the Install & Strikes,
• Ensuring Lighting, Audio & Video elements are setup correctly for each event and power is stable
• Setting Front of House Lighting and Video Risers
• Setting up Competition Video Equipment and troubleshooting throughout event to ensure video files are captured and uploaded correctly
• Responsible for all technical direction and signal flow of production elements.
• Overseeing and Managing Production Team when Production Manager is not onsite
• Acting as the liaison between Revel and the labor crew during load-in and load-out
• Ensuring safety protocols are followed for all production labor during load in/load out
• Communicate with the Production Manager regarding the event, team and venue issues as they arise

Travel and Availability

• In this role you will be expected to commit to all tour dates

Qualifications & Fit

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in show and entertainment production
• Touring experience is strongly preferred
• Lighting, Video and Audio Operation experience
• Staging Experience recommended by not required
