contractors in multiple states. We are looking for a skilled Emcee with competition announcing experience to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of an event weekend.

What You’ll Do

Position Summary

Reporting to Revel’s Event Managers, the Emcee will announce competition entries and run music during the Competition portion of the event. The ideal candidate will have experience emceeing events or dance competitions, is comfortable on a microphone and is used to working with technology. As a member of a small and collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to partner with senior leaders and develop your own skills and grow your career. Key Responsibilities, Convention:

• Assist with Load-in and Load-out of Front of House Event Elements (Breakout room banners, lobby banners, registration table, Rolling the Marley, Moving Trunks, etc.)
• Work the Registration Desk and interact with Studio Owners and Parents answering questions
• Monitor Convention Classes for Observers and keeping classes running smoothly
• Assist with Audition Classes and Scholarship Preperation
• Manage Closing Showcase and Scholarship Ceremony including setting up and checking music files for performances, announcements, etc.
• Setting up, styling and working the merchandise table; selling items on handheld device and tearing down merchandise table at the end of the weekend
• Taking weekly inventory of onsite supplies (registration items, awards, merchandise, etc.)

Key Responsibilities, Competition:

• Download music and prepare technology for Competition
• Operating music and sound for competition
• Host, announce dances, general announcements, etc. during the competition portion (does not include awards ceremonies)

Travel and Availability

• Traveling Thursday-Sunday in most cases (pending Flight/Airport availability).

Qualifications & Competencies

• Comfortable on a microphone and has excellent voice projection and inflection
• Experience using Qlab software
• Comfortable with technology and using computers, iPads, etc. and troubleshooting
• Dance/Performance Industry Experience or Background preferred but not required
• Ability to lift 30 lbs / move large rolling trunks
• Customer Service, High Energy, Initiative, Hard Working, Proactive

Compensation Range

Compensation is competitive and aligned with experience, expertise and scope of responsibility.  Compensation starts at $27.00/ hour.
