COURTNEY ORTIZ was born and raised in Baltimore, MD and now resides in New York City. As a professional dancer, educator and adjudicator she has had the opportunity to travel the world to places like Dubai, Spain, Germany, France, Australia, Canada and all across the U.S. Some of her favorite professional credits include: The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, The Chase Brock Experience, and West Side Story International Tour. Courtney has danced for artists including: Chris Brown, PSY, Heidi Klum and Madonna, and was recently seen on TV in FX’s hit series “Fosse/Verdon” as the dance double for young Bob Fosse. Most recently, she performed in the National Tour of Finding Neverland, Lin Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights, and the first ever revival in 30 years of the dance musical Jerome Robbins’ Broadway. Courtney has been an adjudicator and master teacher nationwide for the past 10 years and was even a featured judge on Lifetime's hit show "Dance Moms" in Season 2 & 3. She is the owner of Impact Dance Adjudicators and the host of Making The Impact - A Dance Competition Podcast (listen now on Spotify!) Courtney has been on faculty with REVEL Dance Convention since Season 1 and absolutely loves sharing her passion for dance around the country with the next generation.
